A Beautiful Sight

Though this came out of the same night as the "angels and demons" cupcakes, I figured this photo deserves its own post.

How beautiful is this? Devil's food cupcake with sea salt caramel filling and a glass of California Bubble Works' sparkling Cabernet Sauvignon. Awesome.

  2. Thanks, Blogglehead! It's nice to meet you. :) I have SO many SF recommendations. Of course you should try Kara's, and Miette has some lovely ones (along with some fancy candy at the Hayes Valley store). The Noe Valley Bakery has some interesting cupcakes, though it's not my favorite place. Oh - That Takes the Cake in the Marina is *really* great. And Citizen Cake is a good place for desserts in general, though I recently had a carrot cake cupcake there that I wasn't totally crazy about.
Oh, and you've probably heard this, but Tartine in the Mission is one of the best places in SF for delicious baked goods in general (pastries, breads, cakey things, etc etc). Hey, I don't discriminate against non-cupcakes. ;)
That's just off the top of my head... more to come! And if you find any quality cupcakeries in the city, let me know!!
